A reliable green/yellow-skinned fig of over 110 grams. Sometimes called Jelly fig, due to its texture. Flesh has a sweet, syrupy flavour.
A reliable green/yellow-skinned fig, ripe end of July/Aug. Sometimes called Jelly fig, due to its texture and sweet, syrupy flavour.
Can be very large, our largest this year, 2025 being 110 grams.
You can eat all of it. But if you peel the outer skin off, you will get what looks like an egg, with its white flesh. The inner flesh has a hint of pink/brown.
Due to this texture, it is not one for commercial shipping, so you will not see it in any shop.
