Desert King fig is a good choice for cooler climates and it is fully hardy. It produces large, deep green/yellow fruit with strawberry red sweet flesh. It sometimes can overproduce, so needs to be thinned.
It produces a crop from June to August, then a secondary crop which can be successful if kept in a greenhouse/conservatory.
