A larger, firmer, less russetted clone of Golden Delicious. Discovered in 1958 growing in the orchard of C. Gibson, Evans City, Pennsylvania, USA.
Fruits have crisp, sweet, juicy flesh with a good aromatic flavour.
Very similar to Golden Delicious but with a bright blush on the sunny side. The taste of a fresh Delicious far out weighs the supermarket stored ones.
